Let customers save your contact details

Use a vCard to make your business details easier to add to a phone.

Log in to Skipto before you begin. The controls shown in your account may vary with the type of link or QR code you choose.

1. Prepare the contact details

Gather the name, business, phone number, email and website you want to share publicly. Check them carefully before publishing.

2. Choose the contact journey

For a business card with several choices, link the QR code to a microsite with a Save contact link. For contact sharing alone, use a vCard QR option.

3. Choose static or dynamic

A static vCard stores the details in the printed code, so changing those details requires a new code. Use a dynamic vCard option when you need to update the hosted contact record later.

4. Create and publish

Enter your contact details in the vCard setup and save it. If using a microsite, add a clearly labelled Save contact link to the downloadable contact card.

5. Test on a phone

Scan the code and review the contact preview. Confirm that the name, phone, email and website are correct before adding the sample contact. Scanning does not silently save a contact.

6. Review after changes

When your details change, update the dynamic contact record or linked vCard. Test again. Contacts people previously saved in their phones will not automatically update.
