CHOOSE THE RIGHT CODE

Fixed details or room to change?

Choosing static or dynamic affects what you can update and measure later.

Static QR codes

The information is stored in the code itself. If those details change, create and print a new code.

Static codes do not pass through a Skipto redirect, so Skipto cannot record their scans.

Dynamic QR codes

The code points through an online link. Manage supported destinations or content and review activity through that link.

Why do some types appear twice?

Contact cards and messages can be encoded directly or delivered through a managed link. Choose static for fixed information. Choose dynamic when you need to update supported details or review activity.

Before you print

Dynamic codes depend on the linked service and domain remaining available. Your own domain gives you more options if you change providers.
