YOU’RE AT THE QR DESTINATION
If you followed the QR link, this is where it brought you. Here is how the same journey could work for your customers.
SAMPLE — DEMONSTRATION ONLY
A fictional book and author used for this demonstration. An author page could introduce the writer, share related titles and link to an Amazon or other retailer listing.
This is a fictional example. The sample buttons explain the journey; they do not place an order, make a booking or request work.
A reader reaches the index or author section and scans “Discover more from the author”. The code opens your author page, where they can learn about you, browse other titles and follow an Amazon or other retailer link.
Give readers a short introduction and a place to follow your work.
Show your other titles and update the page when the next book is released.
Link to the relevant Amazon listing or your preferred bookshop.
A scan or click can lead straight to an author page with more about the book and links to other titles or a retailer. Help readers find your author page, other books or an online retailer from a code inside the book.
The example above represents the destination. The form below is for a real enquiry about Skipto.
When a visitor follows the tracked QR link, Skipto can record activity. Direct visits to this sample page do not prove a scan took place.
Change the destination of the existing dynamic code when your content changes. Test the original code after saving.
Update the destination when your next title launches or a retailer link changes, while keeping existing printed copies useful.
Put the code near the index, author biography or final page. A caption such as “Discover more from the author” gives readers a reason to scan.
