YOU’RE AT THE QR DESTINATION
If you followed the QR link, this is where it brought you. Here is how the same journey could work for your customers.
SAMPLE — DEMONSTRATION ONLY
SAMPLE PRODUCT — explore the coffee grinder shown in the packaging example. A scan brings the customer straight to product information, setup instructions and the shop page.
This is a fictional example. The sample buttons explain the journey; they do not place an order, make a booking or request work.
A customer scans “Scan for product details” on the coffee grinder’s box. The code opens the relevant product page, where they can read about the grinder, find setup and care information, or follow the shop link. They do not have to search your website to find the right model.
Show the correct model, its features and the information a customer needs before buying.
Link to the instructions for that model, including cleaning and maintenance information.
Take the customer to the relevant product listing when they are ready to buy.
A scan or click can lead straight to a product page with details, instructions and relevant purchase information. Help customers find product details, care instructions or a way to buy again with a quick scan.
The example above represents the destination. The form below is for a real enquiry about Skipto.
When a visitor follows the tracked QR link, Skipto can record activity. Direct visits to this sample page do not prove a scan took place.
Change the destination of the existing dynamic code when your content changes. Test the original code after saving.
Keep the printed code while updating the product page, instruction sheet or destination address.
Put the code on the label, insert or packaging with a specific caption such as “Scan for product details”. Avoid folds, seams and strongly curved surfaces.
